Fabrics include nylon in the White Night String of Passionata, and silk and satin compositions from Jenny Packham.

For boyish frames short styles are the most flattering and they needn't be dowdy with Calvin Klein's lace, Panache Suberbra Andorra's sizzlingly sassy hot pants and the delicately feminine embroidered shorts of Fleurs De Pommier. For a playful edge explore the cute stylings of Pinspot Ladypant, floral patterns of O Lingerie and TopShop, Bjrn Borg's brights in their neon hotpants and Diesel's boypants in season brights and jersey fabric.

Bloomers invoke shuddering thoughts of a Grandma's washing line no more thanks to this season's gathered designs that invoke sexy vintage in the ease of the glamour of burlesque entering women's designer fashion and perfect for every shape and size. The bloomer is beautified with a ruffled back by Phillip Lim, dressed up in silk in the Thousand Dancers Silk Ruffle Bloomers from Urban Outfitters, glamourised by Undrest's bloomers and immortalized in cream lace and silk by Edwina. Also for the hourglass frame are French Knickers, invoking the glamour of sweet Paris and the sensually tantalizing Moulin Rouge, silk, satin and lace come together in the sumptuous designs of The Lake & Stars, Isabella Isabella and 6IXTY8IGHT.

The Belle Epoque in all its sexy glamour continues to inspire women's designer underwear with the suspender belt, available in cheeky polka-dotted matching set in Pericolo by Mimi Holliday, the Signature Lace Garter Belt by Hanky Panky or Bordelle suspender belt design. Also coming back into fashion are high-waisted brief, keeping in line with this season's sexy lace theme by La Perla, in contrasting brights by Just Cavalli and eye-catching intricacy on Egrie by Carine Gilson, all perfect when worn with the latest in bodyshaping technology including the Yummie Tummie, new lines from DKNY's Tummy Managers and Bodyshaping Control from Triumph.

Looking at sets in women's fashion, party giant Ann Summers is saucing up the season alongside Elle Macpherson Intimates Cloud Swing range, the striking French stylings and neon brights in pinks and yellows of Deborah Marquit, the sultry simplicity in neutral hues of Calvin Klein's Seductive collection and the Candy or Midori body suits in black with plunging necklines and figure flattering lines by Lascivious, bringing sexy back to underwear.
